Congratulations to three of our staff team, Katie, Kayleigh and Sami who have successfully completed their qualifications in Level 2 Certificates in Cleaning and Support Service skills.
Our new bathrooms have been fitted in the basement, first and second floors – lots of positive comments about the changes and the look.
We are having new boilers fitted this week, just in time for winter and we are planning some improvements to two of our kitchens.
All of this while we look to support new students coming to Hodgkin House for a short period of time as they complete their Dissertations.
We are so pleased that we can offer some other spaces in the house for students to study while the University Library remains closed. We hope to see new students soon, coming for their new courses, and we understand how difficult this is for them at the moment with obtaining with flights and visas and the need to self isolate in the UK. We’re really sorry that we cannot provide self isolation accommodation here, as the requirements are very specific. We have been so grateful for the support from a local Hotel group that we spoke about a few blogs ago. Some of our students are going to stay there so we will be close by and hope to offer some support and contact for students while they are there.
We are going to say goodbye to so many students at the end of September, its been so wonderful to have them all to stay here. We shall all miss each and every one, while we wish them good luck in their future studies and careers.
