Starting our veggie garden

Its been a week of wet and windy weather, so what better time than that to start our little veggie garden.

We are blessed with a student with ‘green fingers’ who has grown plants from seeds of peppers and tomatoes. We have runner beans growing too and some herbs.

Lots of students have told me how important green spaces and growing things are in their home country and something they miss when they are here. Who doesn’t love picking apples and fruit from your own trees!

Gardening and being outdoors have been hot in the news right now with a greater understanding of how it helps our emotional and mental health. We’ll keep an update on how these little green shoots prosper over the coming weeks and months!
